Get to Know the People Who Make Independent Living in Nashville Possible
Behind every smile at Hermitage Senior Living is someone who truly cares—about you, your comfort, and making each day a little easier. Our team isn’t just here to provide services; we’re here to build relationships, share laughs, offer support, and help create a community where everyone feels seen and valued.
From our leadership team to our wellness staff, dining crew, and housekeeping professionals, every member of the Hermitage family plays a role in shaping the thoughtful, neighborly environment we’re known for. Many of our team members have been with us for years, and it shows in the way they greet residents by name, remember small details, and go the extra mile every day.
A Team Built on Experience, Dedication, and Heart
Great communities don’t happen by accident. Rather, they are built by people who show up every day with care, consistency, and heart. At Hermitage Senior Living, our team brings a wide range of backgrounds and talents, but we’re united by a shared commitment to making life better for our residents.
Meet the individuals who work behind the scenes and on the front lines to ensure every day here feels comfortable, connected, and meaningful.

Adam Whitaker
Adam Whitaker brings over four years of dedicated experience in senior living, guided by a deep passion for advocacy and connection. A former Navy hospital corpsman and healthcare supervisor, his journey into long-term care was inspired by caring for his grandmother—an experience that continues to shape his compassionate approach.
At Hermitage Senior Living, Adam focuses on admissions and community outreach, helping families navigate important decisions with empathy and clarity. When a residency isn’t the right fit, he works closely with trusted partners to ensure families still find the support they need. With a background in Healthcare Administration, Adam is committed to creating a welcoming, respectful environment where seniors can truly feel at home.

Joe Fowler
Joe Fowler brings more than 12 years of experience in maintenance and home repair to his role as Maintenance Manager of Room Readiness. Since joining Hermitage Senior Living in 2022, he’s become a trusted and familiar face to residents and staff alike. Joe approaches his work with genuine passion, saying it never feels like a job because he loves what he does.
As Maintenance Manager, Joe is known for his reliability, hands-on problem-solving, and personal commitment to keeping the community running smoothly. Over time, many residents have come to see Joe not just as a staff member but as a friend and part of their extended family.

Kenny Weldon
Kenny Weldon joined Hermitage Independent Living in October 2021 as the Lead HVAC Technician and was quickly promoted to Maintenance Supervisor just a year later. With over 20 years of experience in commercial HVAC, he brings a strong technical foundation and a deep commitment to excellence in building operations.
Driven by the opportunity to serve residents each day, Kenny believes that even a simple smile or warm greeting can have a meaningful impact. He takes great pride in his work and the relationships he’s built within the community. For Kenny, the most rewarding part of his role is the daily connection he shares with residents—he says they’re the reason he loves being here.

Kim Kinsley-Herrera
Kim Kinsley-Herrera brings a dynamic blend of creativity, energy, and heart to her role as Activities Director. Before joining Hermitage Senior Living, she spent eight years as the Fitness Director and Activity Assistant at McKendree Village. A Belmont University graduate with a degree in Music Business, Kim’s journey began on the high seas, performing as a singer, dancer, and actress on Holland America Cruise Lines, where she also first discovered her passion for working with seniors through onboard activities.
Originally from New England and now a Nashville resident for over 30 years, Kim draws on her background in entertainment and wellness to create meaningful, fun experiences for residents. Her goal is simple: to bring joy, connection, and excitement to every day. She looks forward to getting to know each resident and making life at Hermitage engaging and vibrant.

Linda Cartwright
Linda Cartwright has been a dedicated part of the community for over 20 years, beginning her journey when it was McKendree and continuing her service today at Hermitage Independent Living. Inspired by her two sisters—one a chef and the other a cook—Linda found her own calling in senior living through her work with Sodexo OCU Services. What began as a job quickly became a lifelong mission grounded in heart and hospitality.
For Linda, the residents she serves are more than just individuals—they’re family. She takes pride in creating a warm, welcoming dining experience every day, making Hermitage feel like home for everyone at the table. As she puts it, “This place is my home away from home, and I am deeply grateful to be part of such a special environment.”

Peggy Rorie Seat
Peggy Rorie Seat brings over 40 years of healthcare-related experience to her role at Hermitage Independent Living. After studying Business Education at what is now the University of Memphis, she moved to Nashville and went on to build a career that included time with the Tennessee Hospital Association and Summit Medical Center.
At Hermitage, Peggy’s goal is simple but heartfelt: to provide the best resident service possible. She considers it a true privilege to be welcomed into the lives of the residents and values the opportunity to serve such a talented and unique group of individuals. For Peggy, getting to know each resident is more than part of the job—it’s the most meaningful part.
